We believe that no fresh food should ever end up in the trash while people go hungry. 

Just four years ago, we began with a simple but powerful mission: Food Connection collects surplus food from restaurants, caterers, and institutions in Asheville and delivers the food to those who will enjoy it in order to reduce food waste and ease the pain of immediate hunger. Now – over 100,000 delivered meals later – we’re growing our reach, increasing the food we rescue, striving to feed even more folks in our community, and asking you to be a part of it all.

Ever wondered what the lifecycle of a Food Connection looks like?  From gourmet meals created in the kitchen to the drop off at one of our partner recipients, come see what goes into making a "food connection" happen. Guests will enjoy a night of fun, food, drinks, music and fundraising, including delectable small plates from seven of our Food Connection donor chefs. You’ll hear from our Food Connection community about how we all work together to make it happen, including some surprise guests!
